5 Ways to Know Your Gifts – with Bruce Anderson of Core Gift Institute
Event description
“In a gift economy, the more you give, the richer you are.” — Charles Eisenstein
Do you know what your gifts are? What’s the difference between gifts and skills? How can gifts help you find purpose and direction?
If you currently feel “stuck,” discovering your gifts can help you decide what to do – and how. You will also learn some quick ways to identify and appreciate gifts in others – a powerful team and community building skill.
Join us, Befriend Inc and Bruce Anderson from The Core Gift Institute, for this 1-day workshop that will provide you with a foundational understanding of gifts, and help you identify some of your own and others’ gifts using five different gift-discovery tools.
Book now to secure your place and we’ll see you on Zoom on Thursday 3rd March 2022, 9am – 4pm WST.
If there are no tickets left in your price-range, please contact the organiser nicola@befriend.org.au as additional tickets may be released.
You don’t need to bring anything except your curiosity, nor do you need any prior knowledge or experience of Gift Discovery work. We are hosting a Free Introduction to Gifts on Thursday 10th February 2022, 9-10am WST, if you would like to come along to that prior to this workshop, however, this is entirely optional!

What do we mean by ‘gifts’?
Your Core Gift is a unique offering that you have to share with others. It is connected to and strengthened by your life experiences— including your challenges.
Knowing your Core Gift means you can better share it with others, focuses your sense of purpose and well-being, and guides your decision-making. It develops throughout your lifetime, touches all parts of your life, and becomes more impactful each time you face new challenges or give your gifts in service to others. Your core gift cannot be reduced to a skill or a talent – it’s something so much more than that, something innate and fundamental within you and only you.
Understanding and using our gifts is both an old and a new idea. Many traditional cultures, wisdom traditions and faiths, centuries old, used specific methods to identify and grow gifts in their members.
Now, modern neuroscience and positive psychology have proven individuals find meaning in their lives and thrive by knowing and giving their gifts. The Core Gift Institute was established as a welcoming place for gaining in-depth information about gift theory, discovery and growth.

Testimonials
“There is so much information about gifts from a variety of places—positive psychology, faith traditions, education, community organizing, mythology, and indigenous practice. To have examples and information from so many perspectives really helps to deepen my understanding of and commitment to integrating gifts into all parts of my life.”
– Karol, Educator
“Our society has always told us to follow the collective ideology of doing as we’re told. My Core Gift Interview dissolved that ideology completely and welcomed a new narrative of living in my purpose by listening to my inner voice. It unveiled an inner knowing that I have been carrying for years and solidified that my deepest moment of suffering was also my deepest moment of possibility. I believe to live in one’s purpose is to share your gift, not only for our own joy, but also because it is the only way our world will return back to a state of love and wholeness.”
– Valerie, Community Builder
